During a time of loss, St. Gertrude Catholic Church is here to support you with care, compassion, and guidance in planning a Catholic funeral. The Church’s funeral rites honor the life of your loved one while offering hope in the promise of the Resurrection.

To begin the process, please contact the parish office as soon as possible or work with your funeral home, who will help coordinate arrangements with the parish. A priest or staff member will guide you through planning the Funeral Mass or service, including selecting Scripture readings, music, and any special intentions.

Families are invited to take part in planning the liturgy in a meaningful way, while the parish ensures that all aspects of the service reflect the traditions and teachings of the Catholic Church. Additional elements such as a vigil (wake), rosary, or graveside service may also be arranged.
